The Rakuten Global Advertising Business Division is Rakuten’s global media sales house that offers unique access to real shoppers across its unrivaled media and e-commerce apps and sites. We are creating attractive, high performance audiences on Rakuten’s and our partners’ websites. We offer classic display, rich media, native, video and other ad formats that perform and deliver outstanding value to brands and merchants. We work with the world’s leading and most innovative advertisers to drive their business.

The Yield Strategist is responsible for optimizing yield, identifying monetization opportunities and managing pricing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works to evaluate yield of existing partnerships across the programmatic channels
  • Monitors and reports on all programmatic channels and activity
  • Helps to manage, approve, and maintain advertiser floors and advertiser channel management strategy
  • Facilitates troubleshooting between support teams, technology, and partners
  • Evaluates and analyzes advertising partnerships to help guide revenue strategy
  • Works with Global Ad Business leads on yield strategy, outbound communications, and documentation of tests and projects
  • Use marketplace insight and feedback from demand partners identify areas for audience development, product needs and revenue growth
  • Manages programmatic partnership documentation, SOP and strategy communications

Skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 3-4 years of work experience in an digital media environment
  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite, especially Excel
  • Past experience with Dart For Publishers (DFP)
  • Solid understanding of digital advertising metrics and current industry trends is required
  • Experience with campaign optimization, media analytics or programmatic advertising
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Important focus on time management and organizational skills
  • Strong client service skills required
  • An ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is vital
