We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying our customer-facing website, our merchant services, and underlying data. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong problem solving skills who can contribute in a dynamic team environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/execute test plans & test cases covering both manual & automated testing
  • Design and implementation of detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, bug isolation, risk analysis, & integration testing
  • Assist our software developers in fixing problems & verifying solutions
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Qualifications: 
  • Creative Thinker and a strong problem solver
  • Strong understanding of QA processes (test case planning, documentation, requirements analysis, test automation, reporting and triage, bug reporting, regression & isolation)
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Programming skills and SQL knowledge are strongly desired
  • Familiar with Continuous Integration or software build processes
  • Ability to work with multiple teams
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Experience with SCRUM and Agile Methodologies
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Strong QA experience in (1) Manual & automated testing in Windows & Linux environments from IT or software product development; and (2) SQL experience.
  • In addition, a plus would be experience in: (1) E-commerce or web development applications/products; or (2) Programming and scripting; Ruby, Java, SQL
