Rakuten Ichiba is the largest EC marketplace in Japan.  Japan has a population of 127MM people with the internet penetration rate of 90%.  In this country 2 out 3 people are Rakuten members.  Rakuten Ichiba covers 26% of the entire EC business in Japan above amazon and Yahoo! Shopping.  You will be working to support US companies to enter Rakuten Ichiba.  Team is also located in Tokyo office and will be building working close with them.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Establishment of sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales for merchants EC businesses into Japan. 
  • Projecting expected sales volume and profit for new merchants. 
  • Leading, analyzing, and modifying the business structure for merchants entering Rakuten Ichiba EC platform.
  • Preparation of business strategy, and planning and leading the achievement of sales goals.
  • Leading the process of solution-based selling and negotiation and the closing of a new business deal.
  • Directing the identification and qualification of new business opportunities, and finalizing new deals for merchants.
  • Leading regional projects of redesigning sale operations to acquire new merchants.
  • Coordination of regional meetings with Rakuten Japan to solve the group’s EC business issues.
  • Plan and coordinate work activities to members and staffs relating to EC cross border business development.
 

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in business or related field
  • 2-3 years as sales representative or EC
  • Over 3 years sales business experience
  • High skill to adapt to new environment.
  • High communication skill (To do business with overseas clients and partners)
  • Experience with collaborating with cross functional teams around the globe
  • Sales experience with overseas companies
  • Planning consultant, Solution sales, Consultant firm
  • Sale and planning experience in cross border business
  • Fluency in English + Japanese, Chinese or Korean
