The Rakuten Global Advertising Business Division is Rakuten’s global media sales house that offers unique access to real shoppers across its unrivaled media and e-commerce apps and sites. We are creating attractive, high performance audiences on Rakuten’s and our partners’ websites. We offer classic display, rich media, native, video and other ad formats that perform and deliver outstanding value to brands and merchants. The Ad Operations Lead is responsible for planning and implementing an appropriate infrastructure to support the execution of all digital revenue and inventory management for Rakuten Network.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive ad serving infrastructure
  • Stay abreast of industry issues, trends and ad serving solutions to suggest improvements or new ad products for the Rakuten network and its internal business partners
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and ways to improve operations workflow
  • Manage DFP and other Global Ad Business ad serving technologies
  • Collaborate with internal teams on ad serving improvement recommendations
  • Troubleshoot ad or tag issues with site or ad tech partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve ad performance, execute through rigorous and ongoing optimization
  • Works with platform partners to test ad tags, traffic, and implement programmatic partnerships
  • Manages programmatic partnership documentation, SOP and strategy communications

Skills and qualifications:
  • Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Digital advertising environment
  • Extensive experience with DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP)
  • Experience with programmatic platforms preferred
  • Must have a strong customer focus and convey responsiveness and competence when dealing with internal and external partners
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and stay on top of industry best practices
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project-management and time-management skills
  • Proven ability to work well independently as well as collaborate within a team environment
