Strategy and Business Operations Manager

The role will support two sets of activities:


President’s Office, Americas

The president’s office serves as an extension of the Chief of Staff role. The members of this office have opportunity to interact with the President of Americas, as well as CEOs in the Americas region. This is an excellent opportunity to observe, and understand, dynamics at the executive level. There are two types of key activities in this office: ones which require a steady cadence, strong attention to detail, and disciplined execution. The second type of activity set is very broad ranging, and, depends on the President’s current priorities.

 

Strategy and Business Operations (SBO)

Aligned with President’s office, SBO team is uniquely positioned to create strategy and convert them into organization initiatives to put strategy into operations. For instance, a member of the team may target the strategy problem of Data Sharing and Monetization. While there are functional, and domain experts from realms of technology, privacy, etc., the SBO manager will frame the problem (what are we solving for), articulate which domain expert should be involved when/how, and, proactively identify roadblocks and risks. They will then leverage their access via the President’s office to help the initiatives keep moving forward.

 

Overview of Activities

  • Work closely with functional leaders to develop and execute strategic product, and business initiatives
  • Provide leadership and work closely with senior executives to assist in establishing and accomplishing strategic direction and priorities identified
  • Work closely with businesses based out of Americas, several of which have global footprints
  • Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to communicate with teams in Europe, Asia and South America
  • Develop reports that summarize information and insights to support thought leadership
  • Support development of Partnerships, and, PMI related tasks
  • Incubating new business
  • New service planning and launch
  • Identifying problems and finding solutions in the business you may be aligned with
  • Management of operation progress including sales (KPI Management)
  • Support weekly reporting cadence on behalf of President of Americas, with very specific formats, deadlines, etc.
  • Increasing productivity through process improvements, etc.

  • Organized, and disciplined. Determined to complete tasks as well as projects.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate cross functionally with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Experience in product management, software development, and/or workflow systems (Salesforce, Workday)

 

Qualifications:

 

  • MBA Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3-5 years business experience in a fast-paced challenging environment
  • Willingness to work with multiple teams across multiple time zones
  • Responsive and reliable to unpredictable deliverables requiring same-day turnaround
  • Proficient at PowerPoint and visualization at senior executive communication level
  • Cross-functional experience (in foreign countries as a bonus)
  • Business project planning (management consulting/investment banking a bonus)
  • Experience with business modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skill
  • Business level PC Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
