As Senior Graphic Designer working under the direction of the Associate/Art Director, you bring an ability to blend cutting-edge sensibility with innovative and inspiring design. You use your advanced design skills to create original 2D and 3D design solutions and develop concepts by others that reflect Ebate’s design ethos, support marketing business targets, and enhance the consumer experience. In addition, your role will help lead and guide the team to design and create flawless executions. 

You will concept and execute creative assets while working cross-functionally with many teams across the organization, such as marketing, campaign execution teams, social, UX, and more. You thrive in working in a fast-paced environment, are highly organized, detail-oriented and possess strong communication and follow up skills. You will inspire and energize the team, not only with your creativity but also with their work ethic, organizational skills and interpersonal style. 

You will be required to help provide tactical and some strategic direction alongside the Associate/ Art Director as well as delivering high quality concepts and solutions at every stage of the creative process, and help mentor junior designers within the team. You’ll manage design processes to ensure design deliverables and timelines are met. In addition, you’ll provide ideas that influence, increase and enhance Ebates Brand Design and initiate and drive “best practices”. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a design related field or extensive design related experience. 
  • 5+ years of graphic or digital design, and demonstrated ability to apply these skills in ways that elevate brand excellence. 
  • Ability to manage a dynamic set of multiple work priorities, demands and changes. 
  • Lead teams across multiple disciplines, providing vision, strategic and tactical direction, design continuity. 
  • Innovative aesthetic and taste level. Excellent, diverse portfolio exemplifying your work. 
  • Strong design point of view. 
  • Experience working collaboratively with a team, cross-departmentally, and with senior leadership. 

  • Work collaboratively with design leads to produce relevant, elevated designs and consumer experiences that elevate the brand. 
  • Gather, prepare, and present conceptual ideas by designing rough layout of art & copy arrangement, size, style & related aesthetics. 
  • Design with clear ideation, through typography, color, texture, spacing, scale and outstanding use of graphic skills. 
  • Concept and design stories from start to finish with zero given assets. Design from concept to reality. 
  • Design with versatility and constantly seek new and innovative ways to design for consumer experience; graphics, photography, retail and digital.
  • Create presentations that effectively communicate vision and goals. Communicate/present concepts to design leads and executives. 
  • Be versatile in design. Constantly seek new, innovative ways to design for consumer experience; graphics/photography/digital. 
  • Articulately communicate your design intent and impact. 
  • Demonstrate flexibility, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. 
  • Build awareness of current innovation/technology trends through market research to anticipate consumer needs/wants. 
  • Review final designs. Ensure assets meet established design standards and are ready to be consumer facing. 
  • Resident expert on current and future trends, color, typography, photography, video, & design. 
  • Visible potential to grow with a proven track record of original, world class designs. 
  • Continuously advance process and design skills reflective of an expert design professional.

  • Creatively mentor less senior designers, provide support and guidance. Lead by example. 
  • Help with on-boarding new teammates, interviewing prospects, and providing coaching & performance feedback. 
  • Can be lead on larger, focused, conceptual stories/designs/projects. 
  • Proven ability to proactively work cross-departmentally. 
  • Maintain design process within Ebates design team. Find efficiencies and be pro-active in fixing inefficiencies. Problem solve. 
  • Individual contributor or manager-in-training: leading small teams on larger complex categories.
