Role:


The Partnerships Director will support Rakuten, Curbside to build out awareness and Go-To-Market programs with our most important partners.  These include partners within the Rakuten family as well as those in the eCommerce and Mobile ecosystem.

The development of external Partnerships is a pivotal aspect of the Curbside strategy and the Partnerships Director will play a key role in the consideration of propositions and commercial solutions with identified Partners in support of the agreed to Partnerships strategy.  The Partnerships Director will work closely with the Curbside executive team to strategize and execute associated plans.


Reports to: Vice President, Global Sales

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow Curbside’s Technology Partner Ecosystem– develop their focus and investment in Curbside, and build go-to-market strategies.
    • Sample Curbside Partnerships: 
      • GSI / Ad Agencies / Consulting
      • Others
  • Build Partnership ROI Model to help drive priorities and time invested with these partners.
  • Responsible for Sourced and Influenced Revenue Targets – Increasing revenue and market share through execution of go-to-market plans with assigned partners.
  • Driving Partner Sales Engagements through prioritization of key industry segments and through development of accelerators.
    • Manage joint solution footprint and roadmap with partners.
  • Supporting partners through cross-departmental collaboration with sales, marketing, customer success, engineering, and the greater Rakuten key players.
  • Partner Field Event Planning and Execution – “Winwire” customer success stories publishing, and active executive alignment.
  • Actively collecting partner data and insights to improve lead generation, partner domain expertise, success stories, and win rates.

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Mobile eCommerce, Buy Online Pickup In-Store (BOPIS), Click and Collect technologies.
  • Proven Track Record of Partnership programs definition and execution.
  • Fluid communication style that comes through in presentations, emails and verbal communications.
  • Strong understanding of developing business cases/economic modeling.
  • Product/proposition development experience.
  • International experience a plus.
