We need a team player with a passion to partner with a business, transparent but sensible, comfort with ambiguity and self-motivated. This role provides strategic HR support within Marketing Division, which covers group-wide branding, creative and marketing activities throughout all Rakuten Group.

Will act as HR Business Partner of Marketing Division under Senior HRBP to cover some of following initiatives based on past experience;

  • Consults with business leaders and/or members to determine critical needs
  • Attracts and gets talent on board through direct recruiting and agencies
  • Plans, craft and execute organizational and talent development program
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, etc.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Support employee engagement efforts and reinforce desired culture
  • Serve as a change management leader to effectively drive change among organization
  • Drive HR operation improvement to standardize processes for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Analyzes trends and metrics HR data to watch the condition of the employee and organization
  • Participate in specific projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

・5+ years' work experience
・Strong interpersonal communication skills in Japanese and English
・Be flexible and available to interact with people at all levels
・Willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams
・Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Microsoft Outlook



Preferred Qualifications
・Bachelors degreee or relevant qualifications
・8+ years' work experience including at least 2 years in an HR Generalist or HRBP role
・Ability to coach, mentor and advise where appropriate
・Ability to develop strong trusting relationships with stakeholders
・Ability to execute foundational Project Management skills where needed and appropriate
・Proficiency in Workday HRIS
