Financial Analyst – Content

The Role:

The Financial Analyst - Content will be responsible for preparing and delivering monthly financial reporting to our publishers. The Analyst will report to the Finance Manager of Content Operations and will be a key role in overseeing a key segment of our content vendor relationships.  This person will be supporting publisher inquiries and also interfacing internally by building relationships with: Content Management, Merchandising and the Content Development departments.


They Analyst will have impeccable attention to detail and be extremely customer-centric. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-past start-up culture, navigate dynamic structures, and be focused on delivering results with an emphasis on process orientation.


  • Prepare various month end journal entries 

  • Manage publisher and stakeholder inquiries 

  • Oversee and prepare publisher & partner invoices

  • Oversee invoicing and payments to our publishers

  • Work on special projects and reporting as needed


Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners by working collaboratively

  • Pragmatic, diplomatic and sensitive to stakeholder needs

  • Set and communicate expectations and provide a high level of service to all stakeholders



  • Ability to think “outside the box” and find creative ways to solve problems, present information

  • Ability to recognize issues and develop processes to streamline, create efficiencies and strengthen controls


Technical skills:

  • Generally adept with ERP’s and Financial Systems

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel



  • University degree in Accounting / Business

  • Progressing towards CPA designation

  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a finance role

  • A Leader in customer service and an superior ability to create win-win outcomes

  • Developed business acumen, with ability to inform, message, signal, call-to-action, and persuade

  • Superior problem solving skills with a pragmatic simplified approach to matters

  • Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced culture – flexible and adapts to change

  • Self-motivated with a belief in the philosophy of accountability and desire to continuously improve

  • Superior work ethic and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

  • Fluent in English
