Summary

This role will provide services for Rakuten Marketing’s growth and enterprise businesses.  The Content marketing manager is responsible for developing content marketing programs from ideation to launch, including, but not limited to, blogs, whitepapers and reports, social media, landing pages, emails, market research trends, customer success stories, and more. 


This role will partner with internal teams to identify data driven stories and digital marketing trends into easy-to-understand and enjoyable to read copy.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Development of narrative and positioning for content for growth and enterprise businesses
  • Research business and industry trends and build a robust content strategy that meets the needs of the US business
  • Support product marketing, brand marketing and sales team with relevant content promoting the company
  • Support clients and readers with relevant timely content including vertical specific trends, seasonal best practices  for all digital channels and digital marketing trending topics
  • Author white papers, case studies and relevant content
  • Work with team to build out case studies for advertisers and publishers and expand distribution for various marketing purposes
  • Oversee social strategy by developing messaging in the blog and social that pushes forward our brand initiatives
  • Liaison with public relations agency to ensure that content messages, social and PR are aligned
  • Work closely with Social Media Specialist
  • Develop vertical specific content

 

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus 3-5 years content marketing experience in a role that focused on writing for public consumption
  • Keen understanding of the adtech space, specifically affiliate marketing, programmatic and paid search channels
  • Ability to research and write thought leadership for key verticals, providing unique content that furthers the development and education of our clients
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; a skilled storyteller and copywriter
  • Experience creating content for the web and able to demonstrate impact of growing a social audience.
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance.
  • Creative, with reality-based business acumen – able to identify and meet customer needs
