This position is a critical operations role in the Technology Operations organization to bring in the Operations rigor to ensure a smooth website operation. This is a hands-on role to be the focal point for everything Site Availability, Security, Performance related and requires strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills. You'll develop tools and strategies for website operations management, incident management and change management to support our goal of security compliance, 100% up-time and performance.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Be the focal point for daily website operations metrics in a 365X24X7 Production Environment
  • Work with distributed teams in a multiple geography setup to resolve production issues
  • Be the escalation person for 12 X 7 On-Call Operations
  • Drive the root cause analysis and corrective action for operational issues
  • Act as Change manager to keep the various stakeholders informed on key infrastructure change activities
  • Drive the Incident Management function within the company as events unfold


Required Experience & Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in Linux & Webstack administration/operations for an E-Commerce company
  • 5+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps role. Must have strong passion for automation and Infrastructure as Code principles
  • 3+ year’s experience with AWS Cloud Operations. VPC, EC2, ELB, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM Roles & Polices, Route53, CloudFormation, Terraform, Packer
  • Lead the team with technical authority to solve problems – player/coach concept
  • Writing scripts to solve production issues must be second nature. Mastered scripting skills in one of Python/Ruby
  • Strong troubleshooting experience in Linux/Apache/Tomcat/PHP stack
  • Production system integration, log collection and analysis, builds and performance monitoring/tuning
  • Build and release automation tools: Jenkins, GIT, Chef
  • Sound knowledge of Akamai CDN technologies and administration is a plus
  • AWS certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of payment systems and PCI standards operations is a plus
