We're searching for an FP&A Analyst - Revenue to join our Ebates team in our San Mateo office. The role will provide financial and analytical support focusing on revenue and margin as part of the Finance and Accounting team. This role requires cross-functional teamwork with several departments, including the revenue accounting team of 6 people located in Illinois, and the sales, operations, and business intelligence teams located in the Bay Area.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze revenue and margin in support of the monthly financial close cycle, developing insights on business performance
• Evaluate merchant-level revenue and margin to understand what’s driving overall trends, including headwinds and tailwinds for the business
• Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate unusual revenue and margin results
• Assist with month-end merchant revenue and COGS reconciliations between key systems
• Identify process and reporting improvements
• Track and evaluate key revenue and margin performance indicators
• Prepare reporting and analysis for executive management
• Lead other ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a finance, accounting, or consulting position
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.  Experience writing SQL queries preferred
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, Quickbooks, or general ledger systems strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to partner cross-functionally to investigate questions and resolve issues
• High attention to detail with a willingness to review and research data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for learning new systems and working with large amounts of data
• Capacity to tailor communications, particularly financial information, to the audience, and to explain financial concepts in non-financial terms
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and time to meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or Business
