Ebates Canada is looking for an Account Manager to support the Sales team in assisting with the strategic direction and day-to-day management of advertising partnerships on Ebates.ca. This position will have an active role in growing partnerships through presentation of opportunities and negotiation, on-boarding new partners to Ebates.ca, establishing strategies for portfolio growth, and executing placements for retailers. Desirable candidates are goal-oriented, self-starters, superb written and verbal communicators, and able to establish and execute processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly interact & deliver outstanding client service and support to merchant partners; be main day-to-day contact for a subset of accounts 
  • Develop sales growth for a subset of accounts according to quarterly targets

  • Foster strategic relationships with key decision makers to generate additional revenue and enhance/advance relationships
  • Ability to analyse, and understand deal structures; forecast results, put together proposals and presentations, track results and understand trends, analyse and present results
  • Hold regular business reviews (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual - as determined with the General Manager), with each account. Draw on input and experience of Ebates execs as needed.
  • Lead client satisfaction initiative for subset of accounts to ensure Customer Service is regularly measured, issues are addressed, and the broader team is tasked with continual improvement
  • Ensure advertising merchants receive accurate and swift replies to inquiries, offers are added, reminders are sent for commission increases, ad placement timing and assets
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from merchants about our programs and offer details 
  • Take screenshots of all placements for reporting/JSOX as required
  • The Account Manager is accountable for the flawless execution of campaigns at the end of the day

Cross Team Functions: 

  • Use the CRM system (Salesforce) to create and administer sales proposals and insertion orders (IOs), present to merchants as necessary 
  • Check inventory availability, run inventory reports, update account records and details in CRM system (Salesforce) 
  • Run reports/provide analytics and distribute to Account Executive (ad hoc by request and weekly reports per network, client, as needed). Generate reports in preparation for conferences 
  • Assist Sales Executive with issues related to the purchase and execution of advertising placements as needed 
  • Work with Marketing Operations and creative to ensure campaign and creative alignment, ensure campaigns are launched in accordance with IOs, provide tracking and reporting on campaigns 
  • Interact frequently with Sales, Product & BI (Business Intelligence) teams with excellent project management, follow-up & communication skills 


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or advertising preferred but not required 
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an online advertising or sales environment 
  • Previous experience supporting a sales team, working directly with clients is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills 
  • Serious eye for detail and accuracy 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products, Google Suite, Cloud Storage (Box/Dropbox) & Salesforce 
  • Able to work in fast paced environment while prioritizing tasks and time efficiently
